Ivan is a child with a disability. At the age of three months, Ivan was diagnosed with congenital malformations of the posterior segment of the eye. Ivan needs surgery and vision correction for further normal functioning and development. After the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Ivan’s family had to change their place of residence. In March, Ivan’s family had to leave their home, under the sounds of multiple rocket launch systems. Thanks to volunteers, the family found a quiet and peaceful town. Now Ivan is in the central region of Ukraine as an internally relocated person. Here Ivan has found friends and started attending remedial classes at the inclusive resource centre. Ivan is extremely hyperactive, almost non-verbal per March 2023. Ivan wants to be an ordinary boy, live and learn. The family’s income is only $254 which does not allow for proper medical diagnostics and treatment. Ivan’s family will be sincerely grateful for any help.
