Maxim is 5 years old. He was born in a large family with many children (7 boys and 2 girls) in a small village, north-western Ukraine. Mom takes care of her newborn brother, who is 1 month old. Dad works as a fireman at the school. The average monthly income of the family is 250$, including state social assistance to a low-income family. These funds are catastrophically insufficient for nine children. The family is in difficult life circumstances. They live in an old hut that needs to be repaired. Maxim has health problems. Due to frequent pneumonia, he cannot attend kindergarten. He dreams of restoring Ukraine together with his brothers. Maxim helps with the household, they have a small patch of land where they grow fruit and vegetables. Maxim needs warm winter clothes and good quality food.
