Veronika lives with her mother, grandfather, older sister and younger brother.
The family has three children all with health problems. Veronika’s father, who was the breadwinner in the family, left the family in 2021, went abroad and filed for divorce. He is not interested in children, does not provide any financial assistance. Mom does not work anywhere because she takes care of sick children. The family income is the minimum pension of the grandfather. Veronika was born with a congenital detect deformation of the chest. Currently, the child is wearing a brace system, which the family recently purchased for about $250. Veronika must go to rehabilitation every month, and the family has no money. Also, there is not enough money for food and clothes for children.
