Before the war started Diana’s family lived in a eastern Ukrainian city, but when the war started they had to leave because Diana had panic attacks and lost consciousness when she heard explosions! It was scary. The family evacuated to a small town in the center of Ukraine thanks to all the wonderful people who sheltered them. Diana immediately felt better and her mom is very grateful for all the help they received. Now Diana lives in a hostel with her mother. Diana’s dad and grandparents stayed in their hometown in the east. Diana really wants the war to end and return to reunite with the rest of her family and relatives who stayed in her native town. Diana wants to go back to her native school with their classmates to continue going to her favorite dance classes.

This year Diana started 3rd grade in school, and when electricity is available she is doing online video lessons. Diana also dreams to resume her gymnastics class, but her family does not have the funds to support it at this time. Diana also needs winter clothes, shoes, stationery for school, and would love some toys.
