Dima now lives in the western region, in a small village. Dima, his grandmother, mother and sister arrived there in March after evacuation from their hometown in an eastern region of Ukraine. The family was housed in a small apartment, one bedroom for 4 people, but they were so happy that shelling is so rare. Water and bathroom, shower are not in the house but in the street. But there is a large stove so the family is warm from it.
This year Dima was scheduled to go to kindergarten. But the war got in the way.
The family has been evacuated for the ninth month. Dima is growing very fast and all the clothing they brought with them 9 months ago are already too small for Dima. Family needs winter clothes and shoes.
Dima loves it when his mother reads fairy tales. He also loves cars and dinosaurs. Dima is a very mobile child, it is hard for him to sit quietly when his older sister is doing her lessons in the same room. When he grows up Dima wants to play sports, such as football.
Dima dreams that the war will end and his family will return home.
