Maksym was born in a village north of Ukraine. Now he lives with his mother, older sister, grandmother and a disabled grandfather. His father Ruslan died at the war while performing his military duty during the battle. He was the breadwinner in the family. Mother takes care of the children, who were often sick, and could not start working.

Now Maksym is studying remotely, the kindergarten in his native town does not work as there are problems with electricity supply. Maksym is an active boy, he likes playing with cars and Lego bricks, he loves animals. Maksym dreams of returning home soon, attending a kindergarten, and communicating with peers.
Maksym’s mother has no permanent income. Grandparents used to help with money for food and clothes. His grandfather has suffered another stroke and needs constant care, expensive medication and rehabilitation. Maksym needs warm winter clothes and good food.
