Myron is a child with a disability, he has intermediate atrioventricular communication, a balanced form (with a minimal defect of the interventricular septum). Slight insufficiency of the common atrioventricular valve. Bilateral inguinal cryptorchidism. Bilateral inguinal hernias. At his age, Myron has already undergone four operations, three of them on the heart. A few more are waiting for him in the future. Therefore, Myron needs constant rehabilitation and medical examinations. The main issue is the constant monitoring of his heart and pacemaker, which helps control vital activity. Unfortunately, all of the mentioned above does not allow Myron to fully enjoy life and significantly limits his social life and childhood. Myron also needs the support of a rehabilitation specialist, a speech therapist, a psychologist, an endocrinologist, a neurologist, and other specialists in order to quickly learn to walk confidently and clearly coordinate his movements, to acquire the skills of speech and self-feeding. Currently, the family’s income is $218, including a pension for a disabled child, which is below subsistance level even for Ukraine. Myron attends a preschool and an inclusive resource centre. He enjoys playing with his brother, spending time together and inventing interesting games. Myron and his family will greatly appreciate any help.
