Hello! My name is Olena. I am an orphan. I was born and raised in Donbas, the east of Ukraine, where the first phase of the Ukraine – Russia war started in the spring of 2014.  After the death of my mother in 2016, my sister and I were left as orphans and were moved to a different town in my region and passed to a foster family, with whom we still live now.  Due to hostilities in the Donbas area we had to evacuate from our home and move to the center of Ukraine in the spring 2022. Being a pupil of a local art studio, where I learnt remotely, I gained some skills and knowledge which helped me to become a student of the local College majoring in Design. I like painting very much. For me, it is one of the ways of self-expression, and it is also a great way to relax. My future profession is useful and interesting, I have dreamed of becoming a designer since my childhood. I really want to become a good specialist in the field of creative industry and I am ready to make efforts for this. I’ll try to do my best to make my dream come
true. My family is now in a difficult financial situation due to war and displacement. I hope to find a friend in America.
