Maksym comes from the south-eastern region of Ukraine, hit hardest by the war. Maksym’s father has left the family a while ago. Maksym’s mother had to evacuate twice, as the first evacuation turned out to be to an area that several months into the war also proved dangerous. Maksym studies at school in eighth grade, remotely as there is no electricity on most days. His interests are boxing, rowing, autos, scooter. Today family needs winter clothes and foodstuffs. Maksym dreams to learn how to repair well cars and scooters. Maksym’s father does not help his child financially, and his
mother’s financial situation is extremely poor.
