Mother Viktoriya shares: I am the mother of a child living in extremely difficult circumstances due to the war in Ukraine. I kindly ask for your support with basic essentials such as food, shoes (for a boy), personal hygiene items, laundry supplies, and critical medication.
My son is a child with special needs. He has been diagnosed with ADHD and speech development disorders. His condition affects both his mental and speech development.
We are currently in Ukraine. We are originally from Sumy, which is a frontline region. Because my child began to suffer from fear due to nearby shelling, we were forced to relocate as internally displaced persons (IDPs) to a village in Odesa region.
I am the only caregiver. I do not work because I am officially registered as a full-time caregiver for my child, based on a medical commission conclusion. We are staying in a shared room with another woman (not a relative) under the Ukrainian government’s Shelter program.
Unfortunately, our community does not provide any humanitarian aid, and the situation with rehabilitation is difficult — the nearest inclusive resource center is 75 km away, and there is no local transportation to reach it.
My son needs:
• Medication (prescribed for ADHD)
• Night diapers for children over 25 kg (he has nighttime incontinence)
• Appropriate clothing and shoes
While we are now safe from explosions, life remains difficult.
Thank you for helping us. Your kindness brings hope and stability during these uncertain times.
